MAP is an award-winning international contemporary art
quarterly from Scotland, launched in February 2005. It provides
comprehensive and informed coverage of the contemporary visual
arts in Scotland, as well as reporting on events and ideas shaping
current art practice around the world.

The print run for a standard issue is 5,000 copies, distributed
nationally and throughout Europe by Central Books, each issue
is stocked on a regular basis by a large number of UK bookshops,
including Borders, art galleries such as Tate, Fruitmarket,
Serpentine and the Arnolfini. MAP is distributed in the USA by
Ubiquity Distributors.

Each issue is perfect bound, printed on high quality art paper
in full colour and includes features, profiles, critical essays and
interviews plus reviews of the best national and international
events. Contributors include international art writers, journalists,
artists and academics based in the UK and abroad.

Advertisers include Frieze Art Fair, Art Basel, Maureen Paley,
MoMA, Other Criteria, National Galleries of Scotland, Glasgow
International, and Liverpool Biennial. MAP has participated in
various art fairs and events including Armory Show 2007 (and is
returning in 2008), 52nd Venice Biennale and Art Basel Miami 2007.

Copy Requirements

Email pdf submission preferred.
Ads can also be supplied
on disc but must be accompanied by a colour proof.
BitMAP images should be: 300 dpi (colour)/1200 dpi (mono) at 100%.
In uncompressed TIFF or
EPS format.
Full colour converted to CMYK.
PDF preferred if possible.
NOTE: MAP Magazine Ltd cannot amend PDF files once supplied.
Acrobat 4 PDFs.
PDFs should be press optimised or better.
Distiller job options should include:
Compatibility Acrobat 4.0.
Resolution 2400 dpi.
Images bicubic downsampling at 300dpi ZIP 8-bit.
Monochrome bitMAP 1200dpi.
Compression CCITT 4. Compress text and line art.
All fonts embedded.
All images CMYK prior to distilling.
6mm bleed all round if a full page and applicable.

Terms and Conditions
Rates shown here do not include VAT, which will be added to invoices. All first time or occasional  advertisers will be required to pay prior to publication.  All  invoices to be paid within 14 days. Interest may be charged on overdue balances.
MAP does not accept  liability for any loss incurred by error in copy or omission of any
advertisement from the publication. If copy is not supplied by our deadlines we reserve the right to fill the space at our discretion. However, advertisers will still be liable for payment.
