Launched spring 2005, Map is the new international art magazine from Scotland.

Since the beginning of the 1990s, artists in Scotland have moved to the forefront of the international contemporary art scene. A number of Scottish artists have built a powerful presence on the world art circuit and been responsible for a succession of memorable exhibitions.

Scotland now has a confident, vibrant and vocal, visual arts community at home which connects to a strong international profile. Map is dedicated to engaging with artists at all stages of their careers and aims to focus on ideas which influence current practice both in and internationally.

Published quarterly, Map hopes to stimulate debate and discussion and is designed to appeal to artists, art professionals and an informed general arts audience in and beyond.

Each issue of Map will contain features and profiles of leading artists, reviews of major exhibitions in Scotland and abroad, and book reviews. It will also report on new developments, events and news related to the visual arts.

Publication dates: February, May, August and November
